Secondhand machines

We purchase and sell quality secondhand machines. Most are supplied with a six month or even twelve month warranty.

So if you have machines for sale or are looking to add to your fleet, give us a call. We have over 50 machines in stock to choose from or can always find what you may need from our new group of quality suppliers.

All machines will be supplied serviced and ready to use.

Contract servicing

We now have SEVEN technicians working at Mitchell’s and SEVEN fully equipped workshop vans - along with full grinding facilities and workshop lift at our fully equipped workshop in Hailsham.

Company founder Darren Mitchell has 35 years experience in the trade, previously working at two main dealers as workshop manager. Darren is proud to announce 2025 is Mitchell’s’ 18th anniversary and now serving over 35 golf courses, private schools and estates and contractors.

Grinding

Mitchell’s are cylinder grinding specialists with over 60 years combined experience working on a wide variety of cutting units.

• Cylinder Grinding
• Bottom blade grinding
• Relief grinding
• Rotary blade grinding

We have 3 dedicated brand new grinding machines, and a soundproof state-of-the-art grinding room.

Units can be ground and returned in a 24 hour period if required.

Training

Last year we were very proud to be accepted as a LANTRA provider. So, in addition to Darren Mitchell being an approved trainer/assessor for LANTRA TRAINING, Mitchell’s can now fulfil all of your training requirements. This makes us a one-stop-shop for training your staff in the use of machinery on a golf course - now required by law though H&S 74 Act and Power 98 Act. We can provide registration, training, assessments and certification.

We have provided training at many golf courses in the south east and all the participants have found it very beneficial in aiding the development of staff members. Many have also noticed a reduction in repair bills, as daily machine checks are carried out correctly and with greater knowledge.
